Have you ever thought about how school
would be if all the kids in every class were
friendly, caring and supportive of each other?
If all the kids accepted each other no matter
how different they seemed, and kids only ever
spoke to each other with love and respect?

Bec Furraway and the Uniting Kids family are
working towards creating this kind of school
environment so that you can go to school
and feel safe and happy while you learn.




We know that sometimes it's hard to treat others
with respect because you are hurting or feeling
angry or scared. We also know that you don't
like how you feel when you treat someone
else badly, because it hurts you just as much.

We can all work together to be understanding
and look after each other when we are having
problems. We can try our hardest not to take
our problems out on each other. If you are
unhappy, instead of taking it out on someone,
you can ask for help and support!

If someone says or does something that hurts you,
you can choose to be understanding towards them,
instead of reacting in a way that hurts you both
even more. Uniting Kids can help you learn safe
and positive ways of handling situations if someone
is being unkind to you. Just because someone
says something mean, it doesn't mean it's the truth.
You can choose to think in a way that doesn't
make you feel hurt by what others say and do.

If we all work together and try our best to be friendly
and caring to each other, we can make a positive
difference in our schools and at home.





Each thing that you say or do is just a choice,
and you can change your choices whenever you
want to. If something is making you unhappy,
angry or hurt, Uniting Kids can show you heaps
of things you can do, so that you can think
differently. When you change the way you
think about something, it's easy to change
the way you speak and act about it too!

The Uniting Kids family is here to support you, as
well as the other kids in your school. We will help
you find the courage to change the things that make
you unhappy, and face your problems with wisdom
and strength. We will also help you learn how to
make positive and wise choices, and be caring and
understanding towards other kids at school.

Uniting Kids is creating some fun and supportive
programs that will Unite Kids and Schools with
each other so that we can all learn together and
help each other to make a difference in our
own lives and in our school.

This School Competition Project is about Bullying! Your Project is to finish writing this story so that Freddy and Jim both learn from this situation and have a positive (good) outcome. Freddy was having a fun day at school. He got all of his homework right and the teacher was happy with his great effort in Maths. He felt really good! The bell went for lunch and Freddy made his way to the playground. As he walked around the corner Jim stuck his foot out and tripped Freddy. Freddy fell over and Jim started laughing loudly at him.
