A consequence is something that happens
because
of something that you have
thought about, felt, said or done.
Everything has consequences so
it is very
important
that you think, feel, act and speak
in ways that
are caring, loving and positive.

Situation:
You
keep thinking about a very scary movie you watched
Consequence:
You feel scared at bed time and have
nightmares

Situation:
You think about how much you love your family &
friends
Consequence: You feel good and
treat them well,
which
makes them feel good

Situation:
You are angry at someone for
hurting you
Consequence:
You feel unhappy and hurt another person

Situation:
You feel good about helping
your mum and
dad with chores
Consequence:
Both you and your parents feel happy and
appreciate each other more

Situation:
You talk about how you think
and feel to your parents
Consequence:
They understand your needs
and
are able to
be more supportive of you
Situation:
You say something mean to someone
Consequence:
They feel hurt and don't want to spend time
with you or play with you

Situation:
You don't get ready for school
on time because you are watching TV or playing a game
Consequence:
Your parents become
frustrated, you miss your bus
and you are late to school

Situation:
You see someone all alone and
ask
them
to join in your game
Consequence:
You have made someone very
happy and you have
more fun because you have another friend

Before you do or say anything, you should think
about what
may happen as a result of your words
and actions. Are you
being kind and loving?
Are you treating others in a way that
will
make them want to treat you well.
You should also be very careful of what you are thinking
and
feeling, as even this has consequences. If you are
thinking about
something scary, you will feel scared. If you
are thinking about
something that hurts you, you will feel
sad. If you are feeling
angry or jealous, you will feel hurt
and unhappy.
